Amberely Wildbrooks

This weekend we ended up in West Sussex at a viewpoint in Amberely Wildbrooks, we have been here five times before but the difference was that this time there where four eagles not two as they successfully bred. as soon as we got there a juvenile White Tailed Eagle was sat on a post, it was there for 10 minutes before flying in our direction, heat haze did get in the was but it did get quite close, after this about 7 more people arrived due to the increase in the amount of eagles. Soon the second juvenile showed up but unlike the other juvenile this one hid itself really well. We were only there for two hours when something special showed up. Two weeks ago we went to Ashdown forest to see Honey Buzzard but they where really far and we only got bad photos but today for some reason it was closer. I saw a bird of prey in the corner of my eye and I called Common Buzzard but all of a sudden someone else called Eagle, I was Sure it was a Buzzard but I didn’t expect what it really was, ten seconds later it came out of the hidden bush and flew right in front of us, we only realised what it really was when it got a bit of distance away from us when a women at the front of the viewpoint shouted Honey Buzzard, I immediately turned my attention and saw it’s flat wings, small wingspan and longer tail but I wasn’t a hundred percent sure so I fired a few shots and later when we looked at them we and other people there at the viewpoint confirmed it was in fact a Honey Buzzard.
