Isle of Mull Chapter Six
Free roam was amazing today. We started today with a 30 minute trip to Lock Don as we wanted better images of the male Hen Harrier which we got. We also met Andrew, our tour guide from last Friday. He was showing his tour group that day the two Harrier hunting in the fields around Loch Don. We then went looking for more Golden Eagle but as soon as we got there it started raining heavily and none showed up after half an hour so we moved on. We then went past Loch Scridain where a White Tailed Eagle nest was in a forest. We did see the female but she was hidden away in the massive nest. But after a while two supercars (McLaren 720s and a Maserati MC20) which was weird to see on an island with such ruff, narrow roads. We moved on to Loch Na Keal where a pair of White Tailed Eagle where sitting on rocks and flying around, this made some great shot opportunities, we also went past a distant Otter and a lone Oystercatcher on it’s nest on the way to the spot we will camp in tonight on the edge of the Loch.
