We are Back!
It's been a while since we last added to our blog page there has been a lot of action wile we were gone a lot of wildlife spotted. There was a Lammegeier / Bearded Vulture in East Sussex before it flew back to France, sadly we didn’t see it Adam was at school when it flew over East Sussex.
However we searched the internet to find where the closest Goshawk was in Sussex , The closest one was in Penhurst which was 20 minutes away from our house and we had to go there 4 times before seeing it, on the fourth trip it was there as soon as we parked. Sadly only Adam got a photograph but it was an adult and there has been more than 6 Goshawks reported there so that means they could be breeding which is really good news.
After the Goshawk we decided to look for the humongous White Tailed Eagle so we went to Amberely in West Sussex. Sadly we never saw one but we heard many Nightingales. We also saw a lot of Red Kites there. After that we had only gone to Dungeness but as soon as we heard of the Black Necked Grebe at Castle Water we went but we never saw it but we were the first ones to see the Black Winged Stilt come back this year so far no one but us has seen it. At Rye Harbour the new Visitor Centre is amazing also we saw a Cuckoo just outside and we got photos.
